Those Frilly Parisian Underthings, the Seven-Headed Beast from the Hard-Scrabble Streets of Menilmontant, the Masters of the French Rock n Roll, and the Francophonic Tsunami, LES SANS CULOTTES, are Brooklyn's premier French rock n roll band. Renowned for their high-energy, take-no-prisoners live performances, the band has spread the Gospel of French Grand Guignol Rock and Roll across the USA, as well as French Canada and French France since their Americain debut in 1998. LES SANS CULOTTES have released 9 recordings: Les Sans Culottes (1999); The Ennui and the Ecstasy (2000); Faux Realism (2002); Full Frontal Crudité: Live in Paris (2003); Fixation Orale (2004); Le Weekender (2007); ‘Pataphysical Graffiti (2010); The Gods Have Thirst (2014); and "She Is Tossed By the Waves But Doesn't Sink" (2018).
Stitching together the sugar rush of Big Star/Shoes/Buzzcocks-inspired power pop with the blasting guitars and tender/non sequitur lyrics of '90s indie, Brooklyn's Onesie have earned a rep for a visceral live dynamic that's reminiscent of songwriter/guitarist/singer Ben Haberland's early days in DIY punk hardcore. Unconcerned with adhering to the rules of any particular era, style, or scene, Onesie make a big, hooky rock stew for discontented weirdos. Their debut album Leos Consume was released in 2017.
The upcoming debut album from Pocket Protector finds the Brooklyn alt rock outfit exploring a balance of introspection and bombastic, manic energy. What began as the solo recording project of frontman Joe Reichel in 2017 is now a dynamic power trio featuring Carlo Minchillo on drums and Mike Petzinger on bass. With over a decade of combined experience playing in NYC, they have a deep love and appreciation for it’s multitude of scenes and DIY aesthetics.
