Ernest Ernie and the Sincerities is an American vintage pop/soul big band from Brooklyn, New York City. The band formed in the winter of 2015 when founding members and longtime friends singer Ernest "Ernie" D'Amaso, bassist Dan “Danielson" Kramer, guitarist Stephen "Hi Steve" Woodzell and drummer Eduardo "Dodi" Wiemuth came together with the goal of writing and playing 1960s style pop music. Having all played in rock bands of varying styles prior to EE&S, both with one another and respectively, and disillusioned by what they perceived as widespread waning interest in live rock music in New York City, they aimed to perform music with the intention of making people dance. The band forged ahead writing songs stylistically reminiscent of the 1960s pop/soul made popular by such groups as Smokey Robinson and The Miracles and Diana Ross and The Supremes. The band settled on the name Ernest Ernie and the Sincerities and spent the spring of 2015 writing and self-recording the material that would later be released on their debut album Sincerely Yours: Greatest Hits in July 2015. After the inclusion of keyboardist/organist Rob Farren, as well as an array of talented brass and string players, percussionists and backup singers, Ernest Ernie and the Sincerities would go on to perform the New York City live circuit, in earnest, to much acclaim.
