They can be found bringing their blend of “New Orleans Big Brass Circus Rock” all over the USA, performing at festivals and respected venues year-round. The Dirty Bourbon River Show is comprised of Noah Adams (vocals, piano, guitar, accordion, trumpet, trombone), Matt Thomas (vocals, tenor and baritone saxophone, clarinet), Nick Garrison (vocals, trombone, piano), Jimmy Williams (bass, sousaphone, flute) and Scott Graves (vocals, drums, percussion). Their albums and live shows (both heavily intertwined) pair exuberant, syncopated lyrics with complex, harmony-rich songwriting and orchestration. They switch instruments mid-show (sometimes even mid-song), they all sing (except the drummer, of course), and they all have a penchant for theatrics (?reballs, group chants and stomps, whiskey pours – whatever the imagination calls for). The Dirty Bourbon River Show is currently preparing for the release of their 10th studio album “The Flying Musical Circus”.

The band’s members collectively hail from four countries, speak five languages, and possess three U.S. passports and a handful of work visas. With roots in Morocco, Israel, Colombia, New York, and New Orleans, Butcher Knives truly embody their multi-lingual, diverse, and multi-cultural sound and message. Together they test the outer limits of their musical dexterity in the context of the simplicity and anarchy of punk rock.  After ten years of touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello, Green Day, Leningrad, Los Pericos, Fermin Muguruza, and Devotchka, to name a few, Nacho Segura (Colombia/vocals/percussion) joined forces with Nikko Matiz (Colombia/vocals/guitar) and masterminded Butcher Knives. Over the past few years, the band has evolved into the current line-up, including Melissa Elledge (New Orleans/accordion), Tal Galfsky (Israel/keyboards/sampler), Ethan Cohen (New York City/banjo/guitar/vocals), Yoni Benshlomo (Israel/ bass/vocals), and Mohamed Amine Smires (Morocco/drums/vocals). Influenced by Los Carayos, Mano Negra, Gogol Bordello, The Clash, Joxe Ripiau, and Kortatu, and genres ranging from patchanka punk, rockabilly, and reggae, to klezmer, cumbia, and gypsy jazz, Butcher Knives has categorized themselves as “Gyspybilly.” Singing in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Hebrew, Butcher Knives celebrate their diversity and deliver in every aspect of their music, hoping to bridge cultural gaps and appeal to the fringe cultures that inspired them.

They are a force that has been igniting a musical blaze around the worldwide roots rock ‘n roll scene, and gaining a momentum that is cementing their unmistakable sound and authenticity -which is pure Rock ‘n Roll Revival.
