The Muppet Movie Sing-a-Long!

Sing along with and celebrate this classic musical with other Muppet fanatics at the Knitting Factory. Words to all of the classic Muppet Movie songs will be subtitled on the screen with the movie so that the whole audience can join in!

From Kermit the Frog’s humble origins in a swamp, to the entire gang being hired by studio head Orson Welles, The Muppet Movie is an absolute delight. As Kermit makes his way to fabled Hollywood, he assembles his team of like-minded individuals, including Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Gonzo the Great, and others. With Steve Martin, Mel Brooks, Richard Pryor, James Coburn, Dom Deluise and Carol Kan (Tim Burton and John Landis were both puppeteers!)

"Rainbow Connection" alone makes The Muppet Movie one of the best musical films of all time. But really, all the songs Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher wrote for this film are brilliant. And as the AV Club writes, "[the song] "I Hope That Somethin' Better Comes Along" even makes misogyny adorable."
