Botanica

Botanica is a band named for those mysterious stores stocking spells, potions and artifacts of ritual. The 2010 touring lineup of the Botanica Conspiracy includes long-time co-conspirator John Andrews, (moonlighting of late in Peter Murphy's combo), drummer extraordinaire Brian Viglione, (Dresden Dolls, Nine Inch Nails, World Inferno), and bassist Jason Binnick. Botanica's 6th studio album, WHO YOU ARE, is scheduled to hit European stores and Itunes worldwide in Feb. 2010. Following collaborations with Love & Rockets and Congo Norvell, Botanica ringleader Paul Wallfisch spent 6 years years playing keyboards and dancing the Hora in Tod A's Firewater and can currently be heard around the world with legendary alt-diva Little Annie. Botanica's music was recently described in the New Yorker as "...trafficing in sonic noir with an undercurrent of sinewy menace...sinister sophisticates providing the perfect soundtrack to the after-hours, urban experience."

Lucinda Black Bear

Lucinda Black Bear is the new project led by Christian Gibbs (aka C.Gibbs) and fleshed out with instrumentalists from the Brooklyn melodic folk scene : Mike Cohen (Soft Explosions, Bad Teenage Moustache) on bass, Kristin Mueller (Gloria Deluxe aka Cynthia Hopkins, Caulfield Sisters, Ports of Call) on Drums, Chad Hammer (Ray Charles), and Clare Burson on violin. Born from minor keys and a heavy dose of melody, Lucinda Black Bear evokes the rapture and sorrow of a motherless cub. Gibbs has received rave reviews for his solo work in Rolling Stone, Spin, NBC News, Billboard, Alternative Press, No Depression, Harp, Guitar World Magazine, and many other notable publications. Songs like "Capo My Heart" , and "Fought the Bear" with their plaintive, understated Elliott Smith meets Radiohead meets Chet Baker ruminations, are attracting new music lovers the world over.

And The Wiremen

And The Wiremen perform the songs of Bee and Flower (former Cordero) guitarist Lynn Wright. Their music combines images of a gothic Deep South with the rhythms of South America and the grainier elements of barroom jazz and avant-pop. The band features Paul Watson (Sparklehorse, Vic Chestnutt, Orthotonics) on cornet and trumpet, Chris Michael on drums and percussion, Eric Eble (Cordero, Reid Paley Trio)/Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, Mekons, Book of Knots, etc.) on bass, Andrew Megginson (Blasco Ballroom) and Tim Ward on backing vocals, and Jon Petrow (Cloudroom, Bee and Flower) on guitar.
