H.U.M.A.N.W.I.N.E.

Genre is Dead. HUMANWINE reminds us that we are all a stone's throw away from shedding our self-imposed chains their latest full length CD (released 10/08/09 through their own label, Nervous Relatives Records) Mass Exodus is a tall glass of inspired allegorical song stories stripping away a few more veils that have been covering their elusive Vinland; a land filled with riddles, keys, captains, seafarers, makers, breakers, dissenting masses, a drug hazed public, caustic self appointed leaders, a cog turned YerYerOwn called 01, their journey through a forbidden city of the enjoyeurs which reveals important bits of enjoyeur history including an early deal with the terrible Not-Me and drops the listener off at the door of the Veil Nil in the form of a cliffhanger poised for a sequel that we won't have to wait 2 more years for. HUMANWINE has been bitten by the recording bug and how sweet the sting!

Martin Bisi

Martin Bisi, has been at a crossroads of indie/punk, avant garde, noire/cabaret rock, and electronic music since the early 80's - not only with his own songs and musical creations, but also as producer/engineer on classic albums by Sonic Youth, Herbie Hancock's Rockit, Swans, Africa Bambaata, The Dresden Dolls, Material/ Bill Laswell, John Zorn, Boredoms, Helmet, White Zombie, Cop Shoot Cop, Foetus and others. Early this year he released a solo album Sirens Of The Apocalypse - and more recently an EP, Son Of A Gun, which features special guests Bill Laswell and members of The Dresden Dolls, The Fiery Furnaces, Balkan Beat Box, and World Inferno Friendship Society.

Larkin Grimm

Parplar is the Young God records debut from fabulous itinerant force of nature Larkin Grimm. In addition to singing & writing the songs Larkin plays acoustic guitar, banjo, decrepit casio, Chinese harp, & mountain dulcimer. She alternately moans like a woman-in-full, wails like a banshee, or coos like a crazed little girl, depending on her mood. Parplar was co-produced by Michael Gira (Devendra Banhart, Akron Family, Swans).
Michael Gira says about Larkin Grimm: "Larkin is a magic woman. She lives in the mountains in north Georgia. She collects bones, smooth stones, & she casts spells. She worships the moon. She is very beautiful, & her voice is like the passionate cry of a beast heard echoing across the mountains just after a tremendous thunder storm, when the air is alive with electricity. I don't consider her folk though - she is pre folk, even pre- music. She is the sound of the eternal mother & the wrath of all women. She wears jewels, glitter, & glistening insects in her hair.
